These are the questions business owners ask us most, with plain answers. No jargon, no scare tactics.
A password alone isn’t enough to get in. Every account needs a second step, usually a quick approval on your phone. That’s called multi-factor authentication. We also watch for suspicious sign-ins, like a login from another country at 3 a.m.
What’s included: Microsoft 365 account protection: multi-factor authentication and sign-in threat detection.
Worth knowing: Microsoft’s researchers found that multi-factor authentication cut the risk of an account being compromised by 99.22%. Source: Microsoft Research, 2023.
Two layers. Email security catches most phishing emails and bad attachments before they reach anyone. Then we train your people with short lessons and practice phishing emails, so they can spot the ones that get through.
What’s included: Email security for phishing and malicious attachments, plus security awareness training with simulated phishing.
Worth knowing: In 2025 the FBI received 24,768 business email compromise complaints, with $3.05 billion in reported losses. Source: FBI IC3 2025 Internet Crime Report.
Every computer runs threat detection that watches for suspicious behavior. A security operations center, a team of people, watches those alerts around the clock, nights and weekends included. We also monitor security logs for signs of trouble.
What’s included: 24/7 endpoint detection and response, watched by a security operations center, plus security log monitoring.
Attackers look for software that is missing its security fixes. We install security updates every month, on a schedule: Windows and the other software you use, like browsers and PDF readers. Your firewall gets updated too.
What’s included: Operating system and third-party patching, plus a managed firewall that is monitored and kept up to date.
Worth knowing: Exploiting known software flaws was the No. 1 way attackers got in (31%). Only 26% of the flaws known to be under active attack were fully fixed, with a median of 43 days to fix them. Source: Verizon 2026 DBIR executive summary.
Criminals can send email that pretends to come from your domain, the part after the @ in your address. Three settings on your domain, called SPF, DKIM and DMARC, tell the world which email is really yours. We set them up for your main domain and keep watching them.
Curious where you stand today? Run our free email and domain security check. It takes about a minute.
What’s included: DMARC, SPF and DKIM set up and monitored for your primary email domain. More on how it works: DMARC management.
From backups that ransomware can’t touch. Your Microsoft 365 email, OneDrive, SharePoint and Teams are backed up, with an immutable email archive, and your servers are backed up to immutable offsite storage. Immutable means the copies can’t be changed or deleted, even by ransomware. And we test-restore backups, so we know they work before you need them.
What’s included: Microsoft 365 backup with an immutable email archive (email, OneDrive, SharePoint and Teams), and server backup to immutable offsite storage for each server on the plan. Backups are test-restored, so we know they work before you need them.
Worth knowing: Ransomware was involved in 48% of breaches. Source: Verizon 2026 DBIR executive summary.
Nobody uses an administrator account for everyday work, so a bad download can’t quietly install itself. When someone needs to install something, it’s approved first. That limits what one bad click can do.
What’s included: Admin access control: no everyday local admin rights, approved elevation only.
Company computers are managed, and their disks are encrypted. So the data on a lost or stolen laptop can’t be read by whoever ends up with it.
What’s included: Device management and disk encryption.
Each covered office gets a managed firewall that we monitor and keep up to date. For people working from home or on the road, we set up secure remote access where it’s needed. It checks who you are and what device you’re on before it lets you in.
What’s included: Managed firewall at each covered location, monitored and kept up to date, plus zero-trust secure remote access where needed.
