Our Microsoft 365 backup service keeps a separate, encrypted copy of your business email and files, outside of Microsoft, so you can get them back after an accidental deletion, a departed employee, a sync gone wrong, or a ransomware attack.
Both have a 5-user minimum ($30 or $40 per month). Nonprofits pay half. No setup fee, shared mailboxes are not counted, and it's month to month. Backup + Immutable Archive is included in every managed plan.
Microsoft keeps Microsoft 365 running, but keeping your data recoverable is your job. Deleted items are only kept for a limited time, and Microsoft's own service agreement recommends that customers back up their content with a third-party service. Our backup fills that gap.

Microsoft's SLA covers platform uptime, not your data recovery.
Encrypted local files sync straight to OneDrive, ruining the cloud copy.
Microsoft only retains deleted items for 30 days by default. After that, it is gone.

Not in the way most people assume. Microsoft keeps its service running and protects against losing its own data centers, but under its shared responsibility model, your data is your responsibility. Microsoft 365 has recycle bins and retention features, but they are time-limited and not designed for restoring your business after a mistake or an attack. Microsoft’s own services agreement recommends that customers regularly back up their content with a third-party service.
It isn’t just theory. In September 2026 Microsoft told a group of nonprofits that, because of an error, some of their Microsoft 365 data had been deleted before its retention period ended, and that it could not be recovered (reported by The Register). A separate backup outside Microsoft 365 is what makes a mistake like that recoverable.
Exchange Online mailboxes, OneDrive for Business files, SharePoint document libraries, and Teams chats and files. Retention is configurable, typically 1+ year.
More than you’d think:
An independent backup lets us restore a single email, a folder, or an entire mailbox or site to a point in time before the problem.
Not long. By default, deleted email can be recovered for 14 days (at most 30), SharePoint and OneDrive recycle bins keep files for 93 days, and a deleted user’s mailbox and OneDrive are only recoverable for about 30 days. Problems like ransomware or a quietly compromised account are often discovered after those windows close. Our Microsoft 365 backup covers email, OneDrive, SharePoint and Teams, stored separately from Microsoft 365, with much longer retention.
No. Sync keeps files the same everywhere, so when a file is deleted or encrypted by ransomware on one device, that change is copied to OneDrive, SharePoint and every other synced device. A backup keeps separate copies from earlier points in time, stored outside Microsoft 365, so you can go back to before the problem happened.
If your backups live inside the same Microsoft 365 tenant, an attacker who takes over an administrator account, or a single configuration mistake, can wipe out both your data and its backups at once. We store Microsoft 365 backups independently of your tenant, so a problem in Microsoft 365 can’t reach them.
