Before I started Aspendora, I handled the computer and network systems at my family’s construction business.  During this time, I encountered numerous technology companies promising me the moon and delivering well short.  When I started Aspendora, it was to provide affordable IT services to small businesses, but more importantly, be someone they could trust.  Because of that, there are times I recommend solutions that I am not a part of, because I believe it’s the right thing to do.  I’m not going to recommend something just because that’s what I sell.  I want to recommend the best solution.

As a small business owner myself, I am bombarded with phone calls all day long wanting to sell me whatever it is they are selling that day that will turn my business around and I’ll be making millions by the end of the month.  Unfortunately, most of those sales people aren’t even around by the end of the month and these high pressure sales tactics really annoy me.  I don’t want to be that guy.  I’m not going to jump on the phone and call you the minute you click submit to download one of our guides, sign up for our newsletter, etc.  I might reach out to you via email, because I believe email is the least disruptive form of communications.  If you’re still trying to gather the facts and make decisions, you don’t want to have to take notes while on the phone.  Here’s something else: the contents of the email is in writing.  How many times have you been told one thing and then told that you must have been mistaken.

I realize this “About Us” is not what you would expect from most technology companies, but I wanted this to be from the heart.  You’re not just an account when you are one of my clients, I want to help you succeed in any way I can.

In case you haven’t noticed it with the abundance of Howdys, I graduated in 1996 from Texas A&M University with a degree in Construction Science.  At the time, I thought construction was my future, but as with many things in life, things don’t always turn out the way you thought in your younger years.
