Microsoft has issued an update to the IE security vulnerability. A link to the update is here: https://technet.microsoft.com/library/security/2963983 We recommend using the following workaround: For 32-Bit Windows systems (includes almost all XP and some Vista/7/8):

  • From an elevated command prompt enter the following command (all on one line): "%SystemRoot%System32regsvr32.exe" -u "%CommonProgramFiles%Microsoft SharedVGXvgx.dll" A dialog box should appear after the command is run to confirm that the un-registration process has succeeded. Click OK to close the dialog box.
  • Close and reopen Internet Explorer for the changes to take effect.

For 64-bit Windows Systems (most Vista/7/8):

  • From an elevated command prompt enter the following command (all on one line): "%SystemRoot%System32regsvr32.exe" -u "%CommonProgramFiles%Microsoft SharedVGXvgx.dll" And followed by: "%SystemRoot%System32regsvr32.exe" -u "%CommonProgramFiles(x86)%Microsoft SharedVGXvgx.dll" A dialog box should appear after the command is run to confirm that the un-registration process has succeeded. Click OK to close the dialog box.
  • Close and reopen Internet Explorer for the changes to take effect.

Aspendora clients that are on a monthly service agreement have already had this procedure applied.
